Yes. We are all God's creation. He wouldn't make something, then leave it out of the best bit.

But doesn't that mean everything living ends up in heaven and nothing in hell?

It would be nice if there was such a thing, depending on your religion though there's different descriptions. Most say animals are not there as they don't have souls which choose from right or wrong. At Catholic school the Christian version of heaven always sounded like you were simply in a form of ecstasy and peace from being reunited with your maker rather than it being a utopia version of this world. But it would be nice if the latter was true and our loved ones, including pets, would be around us.

So a well-behaved cockroach could get in? In which case my desire to behave has significantly dropped.

Theres no such place. Some weird cloud heath spa afterlife…. Does it have monkeys? Or Neanderthals or any of the proto humans in between? Doesnt it fill up? If I die when I’m 90 do I have to be 90 in spirit form for eternity? If a baby dies as a baby do they stay a baby for eternity. If it’s my baby do I get stuck looking after it for eternity?
I have a LOT of questions and once you start asking how it would actually work you realise how odd the concept is. I prefer Valhalla!! Or the mummy thing. Or maybe reincarnation as a frog.

I wonder what the benchmark is for a well behaved cockroach. Do they have their own set of commandments and deadly sins? Are there cockroach confessionals where they can repent and seek forgiveness?

I'm sitting outside being harrassed by a wasp at the moment, I certainly hope that fucker isn't headed upstairs. If I have to put up with it and its ilk for eternity I think I'll take my chances with the pitchforks.

If there is a heaven then they will most definitely go there, along with all the other animals. If there are only humans there, then (rather presumptuously) I don't want any part of it.

I don't remember seeing a film called "All good cats go to heaven" but maybe Don Bluth just didn't get around to that one.
