I work in the central leadership team of a MAT. We are appointed on “spot salaries”
In my appraisal last year I asked for a review of pay. The outcome was being offered more responsibility, but no change in my salary. This year, I’ve met and exceeded all my targets. I raised the question of salary and my boss said to me “The trust aren’t going to develop your role” The thing is I don’t think my boss has actually raised it with the Directors or HR. I really love my job, but I can’t afford to stay.
I like my boss as a person but I think I need to go to HR and ask the question about a pay review. I’ve never been in this situation and am not sure how to handle it. AIBU to think I don’t have a great boss?
