Just seen a video of a trans woman minding her business in a train station getting horribly bullied by some Tommy Robinson wanna-be and couldn't help but think back to all the aggressive threads I've seen on Mumsnet.

Pages and pages of vilifying innocent trans people, calling them perverts and all sorts with zero evidence of anything of the sort of course would lead to people like this harassing and attacking trans people in public. I've see a few of so-called GC brigade say 'this isn't what we wanted' but it is the end, isn't it? If you do see trans people as disgusting abusive perverts trying to sneak into your changing rooms and hurt your daughter, you'd want them to be bashed in public yeah?

Am I wrong to think their chickens are coming home to roost and certain posters will want to claim they never had a hand in it all?

If you see a post vilifying trans people, report it. If you have evidence of any posts attacking trans people that have been allowed to stand, then please show your receipts. I suspect you don't have any....

I am GC in that I totally see the value of women and girls having safe, single sex spaces - regardless of whether they are toilets, refuges, changing rooms or shelters. That doesn't mean I see trans people in the way you describe above. It's possible to acknowledge the dangers / difficulties without wanting to see every trans person "bashed in public". This seems like a very polarised viewpoint.

Most women don't want anyone to be bashed in public or otherwise, we just want our single sex spaces, facilities, healthcare, sports & services to remain female only. If men in dresses would just stay out of them and campaign for their own instead then everyone would happier.

Men commit most of the violent and sexual crime. Women are fearful of increasing political and social pressure to ‘be kind’ legal loopholes where dangerous and opportunist men can adopt an identity which gives them access to women’s spaces, sports, awards etc.

We all know of vulnerable and gentle trans people, but where do you reconcile the needs of women for safety, dignity, fairness and privacy? Are we not allowed to talk about the threat to that? It’s pretty significant.

What about the hundreds and thousands of women that are assaulted daily on public transport? Why don’t you care about them.

Why do you spend so much time focused on trans people instead of actually helping women? It's not trans people hurting them, it's not even men pretending to be trans hurting them.

If you get what you want, trans people no longer seen nor heard, and women and girls are still hurt, what then? Because through all this trans panic, SA rates have in fact not gone down.

I see trans identifying men that try to use women’s single sex spaces, sports, jobs etc disgusting abusive perverts (see the Giggle v Tickle case - that man is utterly vile!), but the vast majority of trans identifying men respect women and would never dream of doing so. They just want to go about their day in peace, and should be allowed to do so.

I agree. If people are truly gender critical, then how a person chooses to style themselves should not matter.
