I’ve noticed today that I had some clear ( slightly white, well enough to see it was there ) mucus on my stool.

I’ve had it when wiping before just put that down to piles that I can feel, but never on the stool.

I don’t really have any other symptoms- other than I’ve never been a regular bowel movement person, I never know what my ‘normal is’

I’m scared to go to the toilet again incase it happens again, or blood comes ( it never has so far )

I’m besides myself worrying it’s bowel cancer, has anyone else had mucus on stool and it be ok? I’ll call doctors on Monday, shame it’s a Friday night 😭

I have health anxiety after a scare, currently starting therapy, be kind xxx

Health anxiety here so I sympathise! Do get it checked as you should for anything unusual, but when I had mucous, blood, urgency and was going to the toilet 10+ times a day, all I had was a benign tiny polyp, so I really wouldn't worry too much.

I have this fairly often. The doctors have concluded I have ibs. I have had a colonoscopy and other tests and it's not been a concern. Maybe look up ibs and see if any of your symptoms fit the description? My movements are shockingly far and few between, if you're irregular too then that's another possible sign. I really doubt it's something to worry about, but of course make a gp appointment if you want to discuss it.

See a doctor. Probably IBS but it needs to be checked and the earlier the better just in case it's more serious.

I get mucus in my bowel. I've had 2 FIT tests and full bloods done twice. Most recently about 3 months ago, first time about 3 years ago. Results were all clear, no indication of cancer, and I've had these syptoms for years so I expect it would'vebeen picked up by now if there was something sinister. It's worth getting checked out but try not to worry about it too much.
