You do not know that they approve of misogynistic cultures. They may well be leaving precisely because they don't. It is likely that they are being sent on ahead to find a safe route for their families, women and children. It is very dangerous and physically impossible for young children, the old, women etc to cross borders of countries with no functioning government or where their families may already have been targeted by the rebels in a civil war.
In failed States where there is no functioning government people often have no birth certificates or passports. Rival criminal gangs are rife.
We have brought this problem on ourselves by people having no route to apply for asylum until they are physically here. They may well be coming from eg Afghanistan, a country where those who supported us are now in danger of being killed. (They may speak English which would make life easier for them than eg France or Germany. They may already have relations here. )
The next safe country to Afghanistan is Pakistan who have returned a million to Afghanistan where they are now in grave danger, no homes, no means of earning a living. Many will starve.
It is very difficult to imagine the horrors these people have endured. We had the same problems in WW2 where the Government wouldn't allow the opponents of Hitler to enter despite knowing that refusal meant certain death in concentration camps.
Many countries allow asylum seekers to work either immediately or very quickly.eg
Australia, Canada, Sweden, Portugal - almost immediately
Germany after 3 months
Belgium after 4 months
USA, Netherlands after 6 months.
It make no sense to keep them in poverty for years on end when they could /should be contributing to our country and both they and us would benefit.
NB We have a very low birth rate ( which will break this country in the future if we don't do something about it. Annual deaths are projected to outnumber births for the first time in modern history a 'baby bust'.( See the Government list of jobs where there is a shortage btw.)
