Has anyone else had or got a weird virus?

Stuffed ears can still breath out of my nose though. Sinus pressure. Neck sore especially around occipital, so head really. Eyes twitchy. Ectopic heartbeat.

Bp is ok. I'm still eating.

Yes. COVID. Last week.

How long did it last?

Did either of you get the ectopic heartbeat? That's worrying me most. Dh said not to worry but I am.

Also thinking oh so that is what it was - the stuffy head/ear pressure was awful and it took me ages to recover (sorry, hope it is better for you and don't try to do too much too soon as that was where I went wrong)

Yes, I caught it on holiday. I think it was Covid. Blocked ears, banging headache which went down into my neck, blocked sinuses, no appetite, lack of energy etc.
I ended up on antibiotics for my sinuses. It took me a good three weeks to feel well again.

5 days of ectopic heartbeats to start, then 12 days of feeling symptomatic as well. Today I just feel dizzy but have tested negative.

The occipital and sinus pain was unbearable.

Photo is when the ectopics has started to improve. There were two days when it would miss every 4th.

I'm up to 20+ without missing now. Gp was fascinated but not concerned. He emailed cardiology and they didn't GAF.

I haven't been to the drs.

It's really weird when it happens. I feel almost faint.

I'm back at work at the weekend but can take it easy hopefully . I've been on AL.

Yes, but I’ve been having issues with my bp medication (doxazosin) so I’d been putting it down to that.

I have had a blocked ear and sinus problems on and off for about six weeks. I was just assuming it was a problem with my ear but I’ve read several places now that there’s something going around.

Yes, though I'd put the blocked ears down to forgetting my ear plugs when taking the children swimming and the neck pain down to sleeping awkwardly until he sinus issues started! I suspect Covid as I always get sinus issues with that (and rarely otherwise).

Ooooh yes. I had a cold a couple of weeks ago and lost my hearing in one ear from last Sunday morning to Tuesday evening. It came back quietly: no big 'pop' or anything. I'm still a bit blocked up in the nose and throat though 😬

Not those exact symptoms, although I think that the same virus can affect people in different ways.

I’ve had a virus for the last week that gave me swollen glands for a day or two, then I got a very bad headache for several days, diarrhoea and then I have been feeling absolutely wiped out and miserable. Because these things came one after another I didn’t quite realise that I had an infection.

I always find it strange to get a virus in the summer, which makes no logical sense at all. I’m only posting this because I felt so miserable and I just want to make contact with someone else who’s had an infection, too! Hope you feel better soon.

Yes I did. It didn't occur to me it might have been Covid. That'll be the first time I've caught it then!

DS had blocked ears and sinus issues last week. I’m now ill no blocked ears but sinus pressure said to DH it has a Covid feel to it because I can’t sleep and I always get insomnia with covid.

Mine has been one new symptom followed by new ones too. Muscle and back pain day one, fever and sinus pressure day two and now massive headache, feeling sick and wiped out but muscle pain has all gone. Very weird although slightly grateful the symptoms havent all come at once!

My main symptoms have been ears feeling blocked and sinus pain, plus insomnia and some ectopic heartbeats. And for a couple of days I had really bad back/neck pain and headache. The symptoms started nearly two weeks days ago and as others have said they come one after another. The first time I had Covid was a bit like this, I only realised towards the end of it what was going on.

Edit, yes and a very twitchy eye for a few days.

Yes. Day 11. Ears still blocked, feeling woozy, cough, headache. On day 7 I felt fine and day 8 was out for a run, doing all my chores, dancing etc. day 10 wham, totally out of it again.

Same here, I felt okay for a couple of days in the middle, then it turned up again.

The ectopic heartbeat is a covid symptom.

At some point, maybe covid really will become a winter virus.

How do people know they’ve got Covid? None of the pharmacies near me have lateral flow tests any more.

I ordered some LFTs when I wasn't getting better quickly. I know people who really shouldn't get COVID, plus I wanted to prove my suspicions right!
