Last day off for the summer holidays for us tomorrow (me, dh, ds14 and dd5). Really want to do something together. We’ve had a pretty dull summer to be honest. One holiday which was nice and it feels like I’ve been run ragged but without any memorable days out or things to look back on.
The weather looks shit tomorrow PM. Teen ds and dh are both the most unenthusiastic people when it comes to ‘days out’ or ‘organised fun’ as Dh calls it. Dd is happy with most things but has been known to be highly strung. It’s hard finding things that suit the age gap and it’s something I struggle with every holiday.
Do you have any ideas for something nice we could do as a family? Bank hol traffic will be manic but we could drive somewhere (we are in the midlands). Even a dog walk somewhere new would be nice. I hate staying home it drives me mad. Any ideas appreciated.
