In Kalyves/Almyrida and able to help?

Currently have a sick person here in. Red of Imodium and all the pharmacies nearby are closed until the morning

Nearest open chemists are 45 min drive away and shops/supermarkets don’t sell behind the counter so thought I’d see if power of mums etc could help

posting aibu for traffic!

You might be better looking if there is a Facebook group for the area you're in.

SSDGM2 · 26/08/2026 17:56

That’s a good idea, just started to look, thank you

Does the sick person actually need Immodium?

If it's a D&V type illness then it needs to run it's course? But you'll probably need some rehydration sachets etc from the chemist anyway.

Just do the 45 min taxi ride and back if it’s desperately needed.

StylesSluttyShorts · 26/08/2026 19:35

Their body is trying to get rid of whatever shouldn't be in there, let it run it's course.
Only use immodium if they absolutely need to travel.

Edited due to autocorrect 🙄

Thank so much, I managed to get some from some locals staying in nearby hotel 😊

He’s not taken them yet anyhow as like you sensible to let it take its course but good to now have them if needed

thank for help and advice

Don’t use Imodium. You trap the bugs in the gut.

Use plenty of water to flush through and keep hydrated.

Add some squash and sugar if needed and a pinch of salt (providing no kidney or heart problems) to keep electrolytes up.
