They are not obsessed as such.there are many things to consider now.they left under a cloud, after dissing the Royals! Maybe press interest may fade but now its a hot topic

That's a bit conspiratorial. Look at MN. Look at the staggering number of junk threads about them. Presumably the obsession on MN is a spillover from what people's social feeds thrust at them, thanks to their own click habits. The press look at that and see exactly ehat stories they need to get their own clicks.

And if it is 'taking attention away from something' it is because our own distracted minds are choosing to look at this garbage as a distraction from our lives.

I see in threadtitles that the latest abbreviation for this Z list couple is now HAM.

So I think we should call all the junk coverage Ham Spam. In fact, that could be a new topic name for the royal family board

Oops! Didn’t realise they were everywhere on mn just now. Had clicked on daily mail website for the first time in ages and it felt like nearly every article was about them. Which is very very weird

This isn’t new the Daily Mail are responsible for creating a whole industry to hate and criticise H&M.

It’s not just the press though is it. I mean, they haven’t put up 26 articles because no one is clicking on them.

Oh totally. Creating narratives when they can't get the facts.

They won't be happy until they separate.

I clicked on this thread thinking it was about the shop H&M. I’m genuinely disappointed.

The daily mail make up shit sbout them every day.

This morning’s DM headline “security could cost taxpayer £5M” with the number in red. First line of the piece in tiny writing “it is not known whether his security will be funded privately.”

Creating a visual narrative even for people who don’t buy their shitrag but will see it on the newsstands as they pass. This is despite the fact that several sources have already said there is no mechanism for taxpayers to fund it.

With the loss of the court case, the tabloids will be emboldened. This will not end well.

They may well do. The more articles they release, the more chance of misleading headlines appearing in sidebars on other websites. Nobody even needs to click on them to have the narrative fed to them. My mum doesn’t buy the DM or read their webpage but she is online on various sites. I guarantee she will complain to me that the taxpayer is paying £5m for their security.

What I meant was, the DM will know which articles get read the most and will write more of the same. So for 26 articles today, I can assume that they’ve gone “ooh good, a new H&M development, we know that we get loads of clicks whenever we write about them!”
The DM website can’t be full of readers all thinking “jeez enough with the Harry and Meghan, I’m not reading another article about those two!”
