I’m not a monarchist and haven’t really taken much notice of the whole saga, but obviously do know the main points.

However, the comments across Mumsnet and multiple newspapers and websites are absolutely insane and unhinged. People who don’t know them insisting she’s leaving Harry and the kids, is controlling him, that they’re skint and tge
kids will have to go to state school if Charles doesn’t pay, people saying they hope a random stranger sees her and gives her ‘some home truths’.

It is absolutely crackers and I worry about the sanity of the people who seem to really believe they know them.

I wouldn’t expect it to make you hate them. I would expect to realise they constituted huge amounts of ‘briefings’.

Most of that sounds like the RF in general then. Do you think that bunch of over privileged and highly dysfunctional pariahs are any better? Harry and Meghan have been a bloody god send to the right wing press. They've taken the heat away from increasingly awkward questions and unpopular opinions about the royal family and the masses have lapped it up. Bet they couldn't believe their luck.

On the six o'clock news tonight that he's been in touch with the Home Secretary about it. I'd say that shows that he still thinks he's more important than the other non working royals who don't get it. (Princess Anne, Zara and Peter Phillips, Beatrice and Eugenie, Prince Edwards wife and children etc) The unifying characteristic of all of those is they don't out of their way to be unpleasant and bite the hand that feeds them.

I find it extraordinary that Harry badgers the Home Secretary about this. What arrogance and entitlement.
