I’m not a monarchist and haven’t really taken much notice of the whole saga, but obviously do know the main points.

However, the comments across Mumsnet and multiple newspapers and websites are absolutely insane and unhinged. People who don’t know them insisting she’s leaving Harry and the kids, is controlling him, that they’re skint and tge
kids will have to go to state school if Charles doesn’t pay, people saying they hope a random stranger sees her and gives her ‘some home truths’.

It is absolutely crackers and I worry about the sanity of the people who seem to really believe they know them.

The Palace will have been briefing against her too. They all do it.

I think it's possible to lead a reasonably normal life as a royal, not locked behind gates or surrounded by henchmen. However, the people to whom I have referred tend not to be so polarising nor draw the ire.

You have no evidence that the Palace have ever briefed against Meghan.

The Royal family are well known around Ballater and Braemar so very unlikely to be a case of mistaken identify to see Charles hiking around Birkhall.

She has fallen out with her family, his family, moved half way around the world, been accused of bullying, has staff that seem to just last a few months especially around the PR area, chose a very sensitive name for her daughter, gave an interview when she made up stuff and been called grifters by Netflicks

We know them because they choose to tell us all about their lives.

Both of them also chose to lecture the rest of us about flying whilst using private jets. They are deluded, entitled and I fear we have not heard the end of this.

I agree with this. He is a dimwitted entitled prat ( he is a Royal after all) who has done the lions share of the twattish stuff- the book, the court cases etc. The racism accusations came from him. He knew his kids wouldn't get titles. It's the rules, yet clearly resented that. Yet she is irritating, has enabled him and has at least tried to make a living for them while he's spaffed all their money away. Yet I bet all he will have to do is ditch her (I suspect the mad ' the kids are actors/surrogates' is a desperate wish that he could dump the kids too) and he will be w lcomed back with open arms.

I think the idea of them living in the UK now is very misjudged . There is real hatred for them here and some people will not to be able to control themselves if they see them. It’s Tony Blair level in my opinion. So hopefully they will be advised to carry on like he does basically just going to very controlled invited guests only events. It’s going to be a security nightmare for them both.

Those that feel hatred for two people they don't know who don't affect them really need to have a good think about whether they need to take a step back. It's that bizarre and unwarranted.

They're only returning to avail of cheap and frequent Ryanair flights to Portugal, while the kids are back in Blighty getting a proper private education where they won't be shot dead in a school invasion.

In a week or two we won't hear another word about them. Unless the DM and the likes decide to stir things up as usual. Less is more and we'd all be calmer without constant dubious reporting/sighting/rumours. Let them at it, nothing any of us can do to stop them even if we wanted to. And I have little interest in any of the RF and their adjacents. They ain't paying any of MY bills that's for sure, in fact I am paying some of THEIRS! Imagine that...

Sure but that doesn’t mean they will not be advised to live their life like Tony Blair does. It’s the irrational anger here that just wouldn’t have been a factor when they were living in the USA. I wish them luck but I wouldn’t move here in a million years if I was either of them.

No. I was mildly interested in the gossip and read the highlights. But why would that make me hate them?

Better than the USA with all that gun ownership, I would suggest.
Anyway, the security has obviously been good thus far, as their summer jaunt proves. I'm sure they can be kept safe. People being critical on MN will not have alarmed the security services unduly.
