Get out to the parents or siblings so you're not bored and have kids driving you nutty

I often get this.

I want him home so we can all go out as a family.
He drives me nuts when he is here.
We need the money so the ovetime is welcome.

I can't have him at home AND at work doing overtime.

It depends whats priority at the moment.

Frustrating I know

It sucks having OHs who work weekends. dh was working all last weekend (fri am to mon eve); and away weds night only got back at midnight last night, and still isn't home tonight. I would like to be pissed off at him for not being here when the kids went completely mental at bedtime - I think the worst they have been for about a year! - but won't be able to, because will have to feel sorry for him getting in so late after having worked so hard this week (which he has, but I am still unreasonably narked)

My DH is out from 12.00 - 7.30pm playing cricket. Don't mind too much really because I get to build up credit points, which make, well naff all really but I have the moral high ground and he has taken DS out to get his hair cut this morning, and pick up more bits of plastic tat bought from E-bay ( refer to previous AIBU thread relating to said items of plastic tat)

lucyellensmum · 28/06/2008 09:52

I'm not so sure you are getting the upper hand here rookie

No but as above DH drives me potty when we are both trying to parent DS at the same time, so sometimes its easier if we do it in blocks separately.

I don't think I'd like it though if he was working lots of weekends, particularly as I think your DH is self employed so its not like he is earning overtime. Still your afternoon sounds pretty good to me.
