which is more age appropriate?

At 10 mine would have found the slushie machine brilliant.

The building one seems a bit young mine had toys like that alot younger then 10.

My four year old really loves those magnetic tiles and my 7 year old finds them ok but not overly bothered. So with my extensive dataset of two children, I’d say those are maybe a little young for 10 year olds.

I wouldn’t buy a slushie machine because I’d find it an annoying thing to find space for in my kitchen.

The slushie machine will be a total pain, but the building toy is way to young. I know a 4 and 2 year old that have it. Its very good, but too young.

If you’re not one of the parents, I’d look for another option. The magnatiles are far too young. The kids will LOVE the slushy machine, but the parents might not like its sugar and mess factors. I wouldn’t introduce it to a house unless I was 100% sure it would be welcome.

I'd imagine they'd love the slushie machine. Agree the other looks too young however we are all different and maybe that's what they'd like. I have twins who don't like joint presents at all. I'd maybe give Amazon vouchers and a token gift each - chocolate etc

These both look like bad presents. A popcorn maker would be less mess than a slushie machine but really a food making present is just an over-hyped kitchen gadget that a parent has to clean, and as for magnatiles, not at that age. What are the kids actually into? At 10 it should be clear whether they prefer football or mario, for example.

The magnatiles are far too young. They’d be a good gift for a preschooler. Slushie machine I’m sure they’d love but it’s sugary processed garbage that a parent will have to clean and find space for in the kitchen so you might find they’re quite pissed off with you. I’d personally be thinking you secretly hated me if you bought it for my 9YO. To be safe I’d get them a Lego set each. Unless you can narrow it down a bit via their interests?

Option A is definitely too young (unless there are special educational needs in the mix you haven't mentioned). By age ten they should be able to build and enjoy the more complicated Lego Technic sets. Slushie machine the right age bracket, but obviously a load of sugary artificial stuff - and I suspect it is one of those things that will be used a lot for Week 1, then will break/get uncleanably sticky/lose appeal/parents won't be bothered to make ice/clutter up the work surface, and will quickly get put to the back of the cupboard and forgotten about.

I bought one for my DS and I've had no end of vodka/rum/gin slushies while he's in bed 😁

It's also really easy to clean.

My 7 year old still gets his tiles out sometimes but I don't think he will be likely to by 10.

If by parent B you mean the parent of the twins, then slushy maker would be my reluctant choice!

Well my daughter would have loved both of those at 10! But I can see that the blocks might ge too young for sone 10 year olds.

She's had a slushy machine for 5(?) years and it still gets used regularly. She uses plain ice rather than flavourings. Depends on whether the parents are happy to have it sat on the counter though. If it's in a cupboard, it won't get used.

Please buy them seperate gifts if you can. I recognise budget constraints might be at play.

My daughter got a slushie cup for her birthday this year, it was about £12 on Amazon. Similar concept to an ice cream machine - cup goes in freezer for 12 hours, take it out, add drink and squish for 3 minutes, instant slushie. We just use squash so it’s not full of crap like normal slushies. She thinks she’s won cos she gets a slushie every day! You could also buy the proper slushie mix or use fizzy drinks or fruit juice. You could get them one of those each?

She has recently got back in to her magna tiles (5th birthday present) but can’t see her using them at 10.

I'd give them a £20 roblox voucher each or something similar.

My 10 year old will occasionally play with her sister's magnatiles but not enough that I would buy her her own. As for slushie machines, often that type of thing is just poor quality.

I also do think twins should get individual presents. If you are spending £40 ish then a voucher for £20 each can be used towards something they actually want.

Neither are great. Slush machine they’ll get bored with. My nephew had the blocks from age 4 upwards.

God some of you are so boring. Dont get a slush because it’s messy? It’s ice wipeable. Syrup wileabke assuming it’s being done in the kitchen. You wanna give your heads a wobble.

A slushy machine is fine for a 10yo.

The magnatiles too young, however some 10yo would enjoy them and that's all that would matter.
