And that’s the bloody spiders.

The size of my hand.

In my house.

Bastards.

You should have seen the size of the one I saw today, fangs gnashing, willy waiting to rub itself when I’m asleep.

Huge, I tell you, they are huge.

🕷️

Also @marriednotdead is your user name an oblique Caroline Stanbury reference?

No, have to admit I don't know her at all.
It came about after a conversation with some ex colleagues who told me I shouldn't be noticing good looking men anymore because I was married 😄
I've been on here under this user name for at least 15 years and didn't bother to change it when I got divorced.

I found a company called Flyscreen Queen Ltd, they sell on Amazon and EBay. There's lots of options but I used a low cost version, paid about £10.

Thank you! 🙏

Ah. Maybe she took inspo from you!

Gosh, you will know all the Mumsnet folklore if you’ve been here so long!

They don’t put a tarantula on your head, do they?

There are no spiders or pictures of them during the course. They even do a sweep of the room because apparently one time they did the course and one ran across the floor! At the end of the course there’s the opportunity to go and catch one under a pot and put it outside (not literally or there wouldn’t be a spider for the next person lol) and yes you can hold a tarantula. There were about 50 of us and we were all able to do all those things. At the start they ask on a scale of 1-10 how much did I hate spiders and I said 9. At the end I said 2. Such a brilliant course.
