to think that people should check who they invited to their wedding before thanking us for attending!

DH went to a wedding recently.
I couldnt go as children were not invited and DS2 was newborn and couldnt be left for whole weekend.
Thank you letter just arrived addressed to all 4 of us saying how pleased they are that we were able to share in their special day.
Probably being petty but I think they could have checked first!

They probably wrote the cards before the ceremony and in all the manicness and upheaval of the wedding forgot to double check that everyone's was exactly right - yes it would have been nice to have had a card that was personal but I guess they were keen to do the "good manners" thing.

but even before the wedding they would have known that the dcs werent invited but still thanked them for coming lol

OMG -but prob were too busy when writting out thank you cards.

ohhhh....they weren't even INVITED and they thanked them???!!! ah!Mind you, perhaps they were a bit worried about only thanking select members of your family and offending the others! (trying to see the good side)

This is why I NEVER write thank you cards...
