If someone has paid for a family members partner to attend a holiday, paid for their accommodation and activities - for this person to then say “I don’t want to go” a few days before. Is this rude?

They’ll be back again shortly!

I hope not! If Mumsnet are not willing to pay moderators then at least AI should at least stop these sort of posts. I personally think AI is a good use to stop these crazy comments. Sorry to derail but come on here for a wind down and it is nasty.

I feel violated 🤣🤣
But can see he’s doing it on many threads. What a fucking loser.

Sorry you are being derailed. Probably worth starting a new one once this loser nonsense is sorted.

MatronPomfrey · 11/08/2026 00:46

Very rude and I wouldn’t invite them again. Sometimes when we commit to something, we just have to get on and do it, even if we don’t feel like it at the time.

Yawn.

LBFseBrom · 11/08/2026 01:51

That's panic. When people bow out of something that is imminent, they were usually afraid of going anyway but were talked into it.

ThisTealViewer · 11/08/2026 02:01

Feeling excluded from a family spa day hurts, especially when coming from an inclusive background, even if the intent was just a sibling get-together.

What family spa day?

We aren’t going to a spa. No one has been excluded?

Im hoping they weren’t “talked into it”. Although we love their company and get togethers there were no obligation or expectations for anyone (myself included) to attend.

Wrong thread I think.
