I got married in February and a family member offered to film the wedding and edit it to our wedding music.
We had already had an offer to do this and was already prepared to pay for it professionally, what with it being the biggest day of my life!
I've had to chase the person about 3 times to see how they've been getting on, two days ago I text to see how it was coming on and got a message back saying that basically, they had tried to do it but the software had broken. Her husband is an IT Technician, so I asked if the DVD was still possible if so, did they know how long it would take?
I got a message back saying that, It was unlikely they'd be able to do it but since I needed it they'd send me the original un-edited version - and how sorry they were.
I text back saying that I was really dissapointed at 5 months down the line to be told this but could they send the original back and i'd have it edited professionally.
They've taken great exception to me being 'dissapointed' as far as calling my mother (why?!) to say they'd had snotty messages from me and had managed to pull all the stops out and after 10 hours working on it have managed to get it done.
Was I unreasonable to be dissapointed ?
They're renowned for promising things and not giving. After numerous favours to them, which until now haven't been an issue, they promise meals as thank you, 'i'll buy you a drink next time we're out'...and nothing. Am i unreasonable for wanting my wedding DVD some 5 months later. Had it been becuase it was not possible then obviously they're not to blame, but it could be done - they've proven that and done it.
Are they expecting me to be eternally grateful that five months down the line and after a message to their expressing my dissapointment that they've spent 10 hours doing it - 10 hours over a period of 5 months isn't a lot since they OFFERED to do it and I have other offers?
