AIBU to go to Italy on my own?

Would I be unreasonable to go to Italy on my own for a week on a language course? I’ve been thinking about doing one once the kids were older and going for two weeks or even longer, but I really want to go sooner! Obviously I can’t go for longer right now but a week would still be amazing. Kids are 10 and 13.

I was actually considering Venice off season 😊

I went to Venice in March on my own. It was wonderful. But only go off season.

It can be expensive but you can keep the cost down if you eat and travel like the locals.

I went to Venice in the 90s & loved whizzing around on the vaporetti - especially down the Grand Canal at night when everywhere was lit up.

Good God of course you can't woman!

Leaving your husband and children for all that time just to do something as selfish as writing and having some time on your own, good god, where will it end!

With people trafficking, obviously!

We won't permit you to go unless you promise to tell us about it later, plus which language school you went to and where. Plus details of the lovely food and wine and of course the beautiful architecture.

So there.
Have a great time.

Why would you be unreasonable?
Seriously?
