Who is your unusual crush?

Who do you find attractive but they're perhaps not attractive in a conventional way?

I'll start with David Baddiel. Something about him. His facial hair is sexy. He did a series cycling round France with Hugh Dennis (who I also have a crush on) and the pair of them were a joy to watch. Witty and intelligent. He's also fiercely proud of his Jewish heritage.

I had a crush on Darth Vader as a tween. It was partly the walk I think ...

Oh not at all! I have always fancied Bob Geldof. Still do a bit. I don't even think it's weird ... is it?😐

He's very bright.

Like a PP said, physical attractiveness is probably further down the list than we imagine. Most of us want to be able to have good conversation, a good laugh and financial stability. So intelligence (or particular skills), a sense of humour and a decent job are all attractive characteristics. I personally go for personality first, and grow attracted to guys if they are lovely (and well-mannered).

Frank Skinner I just love men who are naturally funny but can also hold a good conversation.

How about Senator Jon Ossoff?

Years ago I used to fancy Tony Robinson, also Dan Cruikshank. I was about 20 at the time, so probably a lot weirder back than.

I do agree that David Mitchell has aged well. Also think Wayne Rooney has too. I can't say I fancy them that much but I'm surprised they look quite handsome now.

@mrlistersgelfbride I do think the Arnold Rimmer of the 80s just needed loosening up a bit. I didn't like him at the time, but there is something about being very meticulous about everything that is attractive.

Bob is a handsome lad but I imagine him as a moanyhole version of Jesus.

Sgt Wilson (John le Mesurier) from Dad's Army was also very attractive, I always thought. And Citizen 'Wolfie' Smith (Robert Lindsay) and the lovely Richard Becksinsale. All such good-looking actors.

I saw him being interviewed back in the 80s on that TV show where a computer asked a celebrity lots of probing personal questions (can't remember the name of it). He was asked 'when did you last have a bath' and his answer was 'Um, last week sometime'. 🤮
