AIBU to find tiny sale discounts annoying

A new trend.

Brands say they have a sale on. Summer sale!! Lots of marketing.

Click through and start browsing… £28 now discounted to £27. £57 discounted to £55.

Surely this is not an effective way of selling things / building a brand. It just leaves me feeling irritated.

No sale under 20% is worth mentioning

See also, special deals on 30 cans of coke zero. Why not just keep it at the same low price? 🙄

And they’ll advertise it as “up to 50% off” because there’s one shitty item reduced from £2 to £1.

Made (the sofa company) used to have the absolute worst “sales” - reduced from £2999 to £2975 🙄 totally pointless

Yes exactly - discounts of up to 50%! Everything must go!!

But then 98% of products have <5% knocked off.

What a waste of everyone’s time!
