AIBU to wonder why my GP assumed I used weight loss medication?

I’ve lost around 3.5 stone through calorie counting and a calorie deficit. I spoke to Gp regarding blood tests and she said ‘’what weight loss medication have you used?’’ I haven’t used any. Wondering why a GP would assume I had?

Just because it’s so prevalent? It’s quite obvious really 😂

Because it is very common to lose a lot of weight using WLIs and what you did is actually not common at all

Well done to you btw! Why are you worrying about what the GP wrongly assumed? I suppose you corrected her?

It may have been relevant to the GP as when I asked my GP if I could use them privately she said yes (I have other meds i take daily) she said she’d make a note of it on my records to ensure no contraindications etc …. Plus loads of people are losing such weight meds at the moment - well done … calorie counting doesn’t work for me lol 😂

It seems a pretty reasonable assumption.
