Eyelash extensions gone wrong!!!

Noadded · Yesterday 23:22

Help please! 8 hours till we’re off on hols and I’m just back from an eyelash extension appointment that went wrong!! I explicitly said I don’t like Russian lashes and I’ve ended up with heavy black Russian lashes 😭 I hate them. They look ridiculous close up.

She called them 3D lashes if that means anything to anyone.

There’s no time to do anything at a different salon. I’m wondering if anyone knows how long they’ll last?

They’re really stuck on with glue so if I try to pick them off I’ll likely pull out my own lashes.

Also my eyelids feel very heavy. I’m sad I’ve done this before our dream trip. Will the heavy feeling stop when I get used to them? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Why did you leave with them on? Did you pay for them? Surely the best person to take them off was the fecker who put them on?

ktopfwcv · Yesterday 23:24

I think they look lovely OP but I appreciate that doesn't help.
You could try and find someone on holiday to remove them. Maybe a salon or beautician? But yes don't pick them off.

I’m an idiot for not saying I hate them! I only got home at 10pm. If the appointment had been this morning, I could have gone somewhere else to get them off again 🙈 Yes, I paid £60 up front when I booked the appointment.

I don’t know much at all about eyelash extensions. But, you have very pretty eyes, great eye brows and the eyelashes look quite lovely really. I understand they may feel heavy, I think you will get used to that. Sometimes if I use a new really extending mascara I get that feeling, I get used to it. Please don’t try to pull them off I think you could make things worse.
I hope you can enjoy your trip.

Ah no, sorry this has happened just before your holiday. Have you had any lash extensions before? I've not had Russian only classics but I think it always takes a day or two to get used to them. They'll likely start to fall out bit by bit after a few days, especially if you're going somewhere warm. Definitely don't try and pull at them or anything as you don't want to damage your own lashes but keep giving them a little brush with a spooly. FWIW I don't think they look bad at all!

ByRoseBiscuit · Yesterday 23:30

I think they look lovely, not what you wanted but no one is going to look at you and think they look bad. Bits of them will start to fall out and they will feel less heavy

Fiveletters · Yesterday 23:30

Olive oil will loosen them and bring them off but you will lose some of your own lashes.

I don't think they look awful! I've had some disasters!

corblimeymlud · Yesterday 23:31

They don't look too OTT. You will get used to them. It's like the time I got some blond highlights and hated them- by the end of the holiday I loved them!

Whatacoincidence · Yesterday 23:36

Vaseline will get them off.

I had the same, I wanted cateye lashes and got the heaviest set of russian lashes I have ever seen. They came straight off and I bought some stick on ones for £6. Much better for me.

I don't think they look awful but your right eye is slightly different in volume.

wineosaurus4 · Yesterday 23:41

I think they look great! I appreciate they might feel a bit foreign to you but you’ll soon get used to them in a day or so, and I’m sure others will agree they look good definitely not too much to people who don’t know you or your usual style xx

Ilovemychocolate · Yesterday 23:44

But they look lovely!
And will last ages x

Wishitsnows · Yesterday 23:45

I don’t get what’s gone wrong?

Think you look great actually. Dont pull them off. Youll forget about the heaviness when you start enjoying your hols. Just enjoy looking lovely and having fun.

sweetpickle2 · Yesterday 23:46

I was expecting way worse from your description- they look lovely to me!

I had natural extensions done last week for a wedding and felt they were very OTT when I got home, but it’s just because I’m not used to having them. When I saw the wedding pictures after they looked perfect.

Grandmistress991 · Yesterday 23:50

I think they look lovely and im a minimalist makeup admirer, and loathe big stupid eyelashes. From the front they look great but maybe from the side they look different.

If youve had them done before to your preferred tastes I can appreciate you dont feel comfortable in them. If youre going somewhere where you could get them removed that's an option but you might get more used to the look and feel.of them over a couple of days.

rockstarshoes · Yesterday 23:51

They look great OP! Leave them on!

WearyAuldWumman · Yesterday 23:52

I know you're not used to them, but you do look pretty.

FlorenceLawrence · Yesterday 23:55

They look fine! When I think "Russian lashes" yours are not what I think of.

My advice would be to keep them - they're amazing on holiday, you don't need to bother with eye make up at all.

Mumtobabyhavoc · Today 00:01

I hate false eyelashes.
But, yours look fine.
Honestly.

EmeraldShamrock000 · Today 00:05

You were nt here time to have the solution. It’ll leave you feeling sore and puffy. They are nice for holidays.

Snippit · Today 00:06

My daughter had some god awful lashes just before she went away, they looked ridiculous. Yours look lovely, I wouldn’t worry, they’ve done a good job, enjoy your holiday, 🤗

Whatevergoes2025 · Today 00:08

Would never consider false for myself, but they look absolutely fine. You have lovely eyes. They probably don’t need enhancing anyway!

theonlygirl · Today 00:09

Another one who thinks they look nice 😄

Besidemyselfwithworry · Today 00:10

@Noadded
your lashes (and brows) look really lovely
maybe they’ll take a bit of getting used too but they look really nice 👌

LeaveAMessage · Today 00:14

They are very heavy but I don’t think they’re that bad. Have them removed after your holiday and don’t take too many close up photos if you don’t like them close up!
