Shops should sell more ice lollies

Sick of everything being creamy and chocolate coated!

you can reliably find the rowntrees lollies and they are nice but that’s usually it unless you go to a big supermarket, and even then they don’t sell many kinds. They’re more interested in stocking Ben and Jerry’s knockoffs and ice cream sandwiches or endless kinds of magnums

I can’t think of anything worse than a heavy, chocolatey ice cream in this heat. I just want fruity lollies in different flavours! Only ice and sugar please, no cream!

I got some Rocket lollys from Tesco last week or you could get ice pops.
Failing that you could buy some lolly moulds and make your own

I have about 30 home made ice lollies in the freezer now. Moulds are cheap!!

There is a distinct lack of fresh orange juice ice lollies in the shops this year. Waitrose seem to sell out immediately.

I hate ice cream, it makes me thirsty.

Also, almost no one sells a mini milk or similar these days (ice cream vans/cafes I mean, shops often sell multipacks of them). My toddler can’t manage anything bigger than a mini milk without making a massive mess. Don’t even get me started on bloody calippos. Such hard work for a toddler to hold, and they keep having to hand it over to squeeze it up, and every time they do there’s a very real chance I will take it away forever, or so you would assume from the way he cries.

freeze small cartons of Sainsbury’s apple juice, cut the tops off and eat them with a spoon

I'd give anything for the shops to restock my childhood favourites: Orangeade and lemonade Sparkles, Dracula, The Fat Frog, and cherry brandy lollies. And Boomy, which nobody else seems to remember.

Fresh juice lollies are nice.

I've eaten an entire box of Fabs from Sainsbury's in the past couple of weeks.

Hackney Gelato strawberry and lemon (my favourite) or mango and coconut
Remeo Mango sorbet or Blackcurrant, last year they did Pink Grapefruit but I’ve not seen it this year
Fruit pastille lollies
some kind of watermelon things
own brand Valencia orange

they're all good, as are the M&S pineappple & coconut

cook frozen food do individual ice lollies with no/few additives, very nice but they no longer do the Mexican lime which was my favourite

I rarely bother with shop ice lollies anymore. They are tiny now and are a couple of quid a pop. I just wIt for my ice poles at home. Actually, shops should sell ice poles. Much better value for money from a basic ice pole.

@GreenFootstool the del monte ones are lovely, in my local Asda for £2 for three.

Aldi orange ice lollies are the best.

Most shops sell Calippos which are my favourite
Aldi do a nice Valencia orange (box of 4)
M&S do a lovely Blood Orange (box of 4)
Co-Op did a nice Pink Lemonade, but my local one closed so not sure if they still do

I have also been known to use a ice cube tray and make bite size ice lollys

Asda have packs of plain orange lollies.

I like ice lollies but only the ones that are just one fruit flavour not the multicoloured ones. Lemon, mint, and cherry are my favourites.

They do a fab ice lolly in Europe that is a lemon ice lolly held up by a liquorice stick instead of a wooden stick.

I completely agree @Redredrumdedrum . My DH offered to go to the shops for ice cream and I said not for me, because of the heavy cream based options. We once visited Mexico when I was young. One of my memories is of a wheeled street food style cart selling shaved ice in cones with fruit flavoured syrups drizzled over the top. Basically a deconstructed ide lolly, and deliciously refreshing.

Yanbu. They more refreshing too.

Calippos are great and refreshing and id like more fruity options but yes overwhelmingly there are lots of choc varieties.
