Aibu to think everyone has moral blind spots?

A few threads on affairs recently have got me thinking - what objectively morally wrong behaviours either have or would you engage in, given the right circumstances?

I’ll go first - I wouldn’t hesitate to look through DH’s phone, emails etc if I had even the slightest doubt something was amiss. I’d actually do it out of nosiness, but I am confident it would just be him chatting shit about football to his mates.

I actually think most of us could do most things in the right set of circumstances. People who glibly state 'Oh I'd never do THAT' just haven't been tested enough.
I never thought I could have an affair (he was married, I wasn't). Shamefully, I proved myself wrong.
We all have free will, of course. But sometimes our circumstances make it easier to choose a bad path.
That's not justification, btw, just a statement of fact as I see it.

The vast majority of people would act very differently if their lives (or loved ones lives) depended on it. I don't think there's much question about that. It's easy to say "I'd never do...." if you've never needed to. If it was a question of being a sex worker or seeing your children go hungry, you'd do it. But on a somewhat more minor scale, I would definitely go through my partners devices if I thought he was cheating. His infidelity would pose a threat to my (and possibly my children's) security and welfare which trumps his right to privacy all day long.
