It’s not. Possibly, when Corbyn was in charge it was nearly socialist but it’s actually widely considered to be a centre left social democrat party. Privatisation has been a disaster and a huge majority of the population want utilities to be renationalised. Burnham has reiterated several times that his government will keep to the fiscal rules of the manifesto.

We shouldn’t be in hock to the bond markets. Hock = we owe them money, hock being a form of lending. We need to pay off our debts, I’m sure Kemi would agree with that.

Labout leaders often refer to themselves as socialists to garner support with the left of the party, doesn’t mean they are. Look at the actions not the words. St Andy is not planning taking the means of production into public ownership. Even the Tories are starting to consider bringing the utilities like water back under public control after the utter failure of water privatisation.

Either a socialist, to keep the left happy, or the more factual social democrat. If he said he was not a socialist the left would wet themselves (as usual).

I find this a circular argument. We were told Keir is hated. Andy steps in "to save the Labour party" as he said. Now we are told it shows how good he is because he is getting so much hate ....🤔

The noise are good so far, but it is going to depend on the practice. I’m sorry he is allowing the use of air bases, though. And he is going to find that he can’t please everyone, so he should state his position more clearly. Consensus is great for some things eg resolving social care, but there are situations where people (eg locally) won’t have the same interests and some of those interests are vested in prioritising personal profit.
