AIBU to expect my husband to clear up in the kitchen?

My husband never clears up after himself in the kitchen. He'll use the chopping board to make a sandwich and leaves it covered in crumbs, bits of tomato, etc, and when I complain he says there's no point in him cleaning it if 'm going to use it anyway. I think it's unhygenic and selfish. AIBU?

Leave it. Let him make a sandwich next time with a dirty chopping board.

Leave the mess, and simply refuse to cook in a dirty kitchen, ever.

Also refuse to even make so much as a cup of tea in a dirty kitchen.

Refuse to use the washing machine in a dirty kitchen.

Let him wail on about 'That's unreasonable' , 'Stop over reacting' and how 'ridiculous' you're being.

Just keep saying 'I'm not using a dirty kitchen', again, and again, and again, ad nauseum

Unless you actually make this HIS problem because he's going to suffer the consequences, he'll never do it?

(I'd also be deliberately making messes wherever he wants/needs to keep 'clean' e.g his car/ home office/ garage etc, wherever matters to HIM. But then I can be a tad excessive sometimes 😂)
