AIBU to buy a cabin bed to encourage my son back?

Really struggling for bed ideas for my 7 year old. I’m embarrassed to say he still sleeps in our room. To entice him back in his room I’m thinking of buying him a mid sleeper or cabin bed I think they’re called. He currently has a small single bed in his room, it’s a cheap ikea one. What are your thoughts?

Also room is small.

Ds was still sleeping with me till he was about 12.
No interest in his fancy high sleeper. Stopped naturally as puberty hit.
It normal for mammals to sleep with their mothers.

I see them all the time going for practically free on Facebook marketplace.

But a cabin bed isn’t a bigger bed? So his reasoning is not sound it’s not that he wants a double to stretch out like your bed he has picked off the floor.

I think the type of bed is going to be another excuse.
If you buy another other than the exact one I expect it will be it’s not the right one I don’t like this one. It’s metal/wood. The desk is fixed/pull out. Unlike the want I wanted.

Id ask him to prove it first. If he sleeps in his room for a month you’ll buy the exact bed.

we Used to let them choose how they wanted their room - can get a bit whacky but they like it and it gets them sleeping in a place where they aren’t disturbing you.
