To really despise my teeth!!

I hate my teeth! Can somebody point me in the right direction of sorting them out so I can smile in photos and not feel embarrassed. I just want a nice smile and nice teeth, I hate the shape of them and how they sit. preferably uk treatment and not in the thousands as I just don’t have it. I was thinking of the clip in veneers but don’t know anyone who has personally used them for an accurate review. Please see photos attached Thanks in advance

I have been using Invisalign for a few months my teeth are much straighter mine cost £2700 but it depends on what packages you need. Alot of places do finance I think this is what you need. It is cheaper to go Turkey and get veneers but if be too scared. My sister had this done and it was cheaper than Invisalign

You can pay for braces in instalments

My dentist gave me fixed braces at NHS price of £1500. Paid in installments.
My front 2 were starting to cross. Bottom ones crooked. Took 10 months and very happy with the results.

There are lots of places that will take your money for a quick fix. However, the best way to straighten will always be through an orthodontist using either Invisalign or fixed braces. You need to have your bite checked and health of teeth throughout treatment or it will just cause problems later on. I had a fixed brace with white brackets. It was about £2k for the tops and would’ve been same if I’d had the bottoms. Interest free credit over the course of treatment so about £100 pm

Great, I will speak with my dentist and see if I am able to have braces and absolutely better if it’s only 10 months I thought you have to have them for 3 years

You should look into braces, my teeth were very similar to yours and it’s given me so much more confidence.

There’s clear braces or Invisalign but the cheapest are the standard metal braces. I spoke to an orthodontist who referred me to the NHS because of an issue with one of my teeth that they couldn’t touch and so I didn’t have any choice of the type of brace but looking back I’m pleased I had them. My friend got clear ones at the same time and they drew more attention because people were trying to work out what they were and they stained really easily.

I worked in law enforcement at the time and thought I would get horrible comments but people were actually really positive- it’s amazing how many people are self conscious about their own teeth.

You can pay for invisalign in installments if that helps.
However, if thats still out of your range at the moment, I would recommend getting them professionally whitened as that makes a massive difference! A family member has similar overcrowding to yours and whitening has really made a difference to how they look and their confidence, which is the important bit. You can do the at-home version, where you get retainers fitted at a dentist and then given the whitening solution at home for less than 400 (my dentist charged 300 a few years ago and I didnt shop around at all) so might be worth looking into?

You need to consult a dentist not MN. If you have perfectly healthy teeth/gums you need the least you can get away with. Veneers involve roughening the tooth surface to help adhesion. Composite are cheaper. You might just need eg Invisalign. Budget? Won't be cheap. Prob 2k upwards so interest free card or finance.

Just go for train tracks when you speak to an orthodontist. They are quickest to work, you can fine tune the movement of teeth easier, and a lot of adults have them now (19-year-old Lamine Yamal was sporting some at the recent World Cup final).

Also, you have some overlapping, and getting them straightened will make cleaning them so much easier (though they are a lovely white already - mine are a bit yellower naturally so I'm jealous!). It will cost around 2.5 to 3k (just had 2 dcs done) but will be completely worth it, honestly.

My DS’s teeth were very similar to yours.
He had train track braces for 2 years and it completely transformed them.

He had overcrowding as well though, so had four teeth at the back taken out from the top and bottom jaw, and then had the braces fitted.

You’ve actually got VERY nice teeth in terms of size and colour, so they will look amazing.

I’ve just been and had them whitened and made an appointment this afternoon with my dentist to discuss train track braces. The end result is going to be worth it! Thanks all for the advice

They look lovely and clean! Im jealous, braces are something I’ve always wanted but can never afford, even on monthly payments. The three years will be sooo worth it.

There's lots who would kill to have teeth like yours! My mum lost all hers young (bad dentistry where she was), so if you're not in pain, they really don't stand out as bad to me. If you want to change and if you can afford it, it's your body though.

There isn't a good cheap option. I am having top and bottom teeth straightened with metal braces. I'm 73 and have always had crooked teeth.
It will take a year, I'm 6 months in and teeth are moving and straightening well. It is costing £3000, I paid upfront but they have payment plans. I'm in South Yorkshire.

Also get a quote from a few places for the braces I went to 3 different places for quotes and the prices were majorly different. Even for a consultation the place I ended up using charged £30 for a consultation where they did the scans. Another place I called wanted £250. So shop around.

That is not an NHS price.

NHS price would be free for under 18s but my private orthodontist did under 18s for £1800 fixed price and over 18s £3800. Perhaps she means she got the under 18 price from a private dentist.
