Couple of months ago neighbours nearly teen girl (aged 12) and 3 of her friends kept knocking on my door when I was trying to do housework. My children had gone to my in-laws. I kept walking down to answer but no one there! I then decided to check door camera and saw it was neighbour 5 doors down kid who I never spoke to or the parents at all but know by face when driving by.
I asked her not to knock on my door again and to leave me alone. Neighbour then posted on group chat someone was very “aggressive” to her kid! I told her if she’s talking about me then I have every right to tell people to stop knocking on my door. I told her to stop posting on group chat for street and we should chat in person. She was highly argumentative at me telling me she’s only a child. I told her my kids are also living on the street and I wouldn’t allow this behaviour.
This afternoon the dad has put a very passive aggressive message on group chat saying his daughter abd few friends planning on knocking on a few doors and people have responded very positively saying yes it’s do much fun we would do it as kids etc. etc. and he replied back thank you to those who allow our kids to be kids! It’s obviously aimed at me. I just find it so entitled that they feel their kid well nearly teenager has the right to annoy parents. What he did this morning to post a message and those that responded only those for his kid should be knocking on I feel. I just see how entitled this girl will grow up into. No idea if she knocked on my door as I turned doorbell and ring off. Why in bloody Sundays? My only day to clean when kids go to visit family.
