Just read a post on Instagram about colic and in the comments lots of people suggest that it they think it is linked to ND? The screaming might be to do with the baby being in sensory overload with being outside of the womb? Has anyone else heard this theory?
My first DD had colic and thinking of it is still very traumatic. She is a very sensitive child and I often wonder if there is something else going on. She is 6 years old and I have raised certain things with the school like I think her brain skips ahead, I wonder if she is struggling to understand the social nuances with her friends and she is very sensitive and is quite anxious. When she is unable to cope she cries loudly and it transports me back to the sensory overload of a screaming baby and then sometimes I struggle to cope.
I'm not sure if this is really AIBU but I do wonder if other people with older children have similar experiences that they are willing to share.
