Is my friend being a CF with her WFH loo visits?

One of my best friends lives in walking distance from me, and she has been seeing someone for a few months now who she is head over heels for. On the majority of recent Wednesday’s, she works from home as does he (he lives in a nearby town so has been staying at hers on a Tuesday and working there the next day).

My friend always goes out for a walk on her lunch, and times this differently to her partners lunch. Recently she has popped round for a chat with me whilst I’ve also been on lunch and used the loo each time. She told me the third time that this was because she’s avoiding going whilst her partner is staying with her.

I messaged her last night to say I had a long meeting over lunch so wouldn’t be able to see her today. She asked if I could leave the door unlocked and she could come in quickly whilst I was in the call. I politely said I wasn’t comfortable leaving the door unlocked whilst I was upstairs on a call. She sent me a bit of a funny reply suggesting I was being unreasonable.

So my question to you all is - AIBU, or is my friend being a CF?

Yes, I agree it’s odd but that’s not my issue - it’s how she reacted to me telling her not to come round today. It felt entitled!

It is entitled but it sounds like it’s coming from panic; she clearly has a big anxiety issue and has now built up an expectation that she can come to yours to poo in private (!) It sounds like a big problem, it’s quite odd to have him in the house also working and yet not choose to have lunch together. She’s obviously worked everything around getting to yours by herself during the day.

I suppose you can only hope she gets comfortable with him soon or doesn’t let him stay there to work!

I think you should go over with cake as a peace offering 😉 and proceed to tell her boyfriend in front of her, in great detail, about the enormous stinky shits she has been depositing at yours, blocking up your plumbing, because she refuses to go in her own house with him there.

Entitled mare (her - absolutely not you)

Duvetdayneeded · 22/07/2026 18:25

Stupid woman she is!!

GoodbyeZebedee · 22/07/2026 18:25

Your friend is being weird on every level.

AgnesMcDoo · 22/07/2026 18:26

He’s not a ‘partner’ if she’s too feart to go to the loo whilst he’s there 🤣🤣🤣

NoArmaniNoPunani · 22/07/2026 18:27

Next time send her home but not before giving her some laxative chocolate

honeylulu · 22/07/2026 18:29

Bloody hell. I'd be more embarrassed to inflict my poo noise and smells on a friend and skip off home leaving her with the lingering memory, than to use my own toilet like a normal person.

Asking you to leave your door unlocked so she can drop a log without even the pretext of a friendly chat is even more astonishing.

Pessismistic · 22/07/2026 18:32

Hi Op I would have laughed at her first question saying he’s going have to be there at some point when you piss or shit time to be a grown up. I can’t believe she expected you to leave the door unlocked for her to use the toilet. the chances are he’s dumping in her toilet anyway. So they might as well get used to each others toilet habits.

GreyBeeplus3 · 22/07/2026 18:33

@JamJar187
What happens/how does it work if she's the age to have periods then?

mylifeisexams · 22/07/2026 18:34

This is batshit and this thread will definitely be picked up by the tabloids and will be like nectar for the poo trolls

nomas · 22/07/2026 18:35

So her boyfriend is too good to smell her shit but it’s fine for you to smell it Hmm

Don’t entertain this nonsense anymore. Be busy every day.

chocoluv · 22/07/2026 18:36

She must be very regular if she can time it so well.

Surely he must wonder why their lunch breaks are different.

Surely the point of him staying over when WFH is so they can spend lunchtime together.

Why can’t she have a look break whilst he’s busy working.

If she’s this embarrassed about pooing then she needs to change the days/times he comes over.

Pistachiocake · 22/07/2026 18:38

No, you should not leave your home unlocked if you're alone in the house. I suppose you could give her a key, but why should you have to? If say her toilet was broken or something, fine, but this is just odd.

Washingforweeks · 22/07/2026 18:39

This really made me laugh! I was like this in my 20s. My mother would go crazy if anyone spoke about the loo, breaking wind anything so we were all really on edge. She would also say women do not tell men they go to the toilet. I got rid of this when one day horrific trapped wind sent me to A&E thinking it was my appendix. I don’t hold anything in now 🤣

Silverbirchleaf · 22/07/2026 18:43

You’re absolutely fine to say you couldn’t meet up with her today but her request to still use your toilet is weird, especially as she has a functioning one at home, and to send a sh*ty (pun intended) response, is definitely unreasonable.

Powerbungalow · 22/07/2026 18:43

Why won't she go at home?

PyongyangKipperbang · 22/07/2026 18:46

CF or not, she is fucking barmy!

Lifeomars · 22/07/2026 18:47

I've read some mad stuff on here, one of the reasons I find MN so entertaining but this one is outstanding. I got into MN via a Twitter (pre Elon days) account called Mum's Net Madness which was hilarious and as the title suggests focused on the more bonkers threads.

Larrythecatforpm · 22/07/2026 18:49

I would tell her to poo in her own toilet, this is beyond nuts 😭😂

That's just reminded me that I once knew someone who was to embarrassed to be seen carrying packs of loo roll back from the shop and would double bag it to hide the shame!

icingonmycupcake · 22/07/2026 18:52

She's using your home like a public convenience and had the nerve to be miffed when you said that wasn't appropriate?

She sounds bonkers. And immature.

Sibc465 · 22/07/2026 18:53

I once read a thread on a different site about a woman who was too embarrassed to go to the toilet with her bf there. So shit in the shower instead.

never finished it always wondered the outcome

Chilihealer · 22/07/2026 18:54

I’m more amazed that she perfectly times her shit every Wednesday for her visit to yours😂

GreenWhiteViolets123 · 22/07/2026 18:55

Shes being weird. Its beyond time for her to reveal to her partner that she is in fact human and has normal human bodily functions. Your house is no longer available as her bathroom option.

Aloren · 22/07/2026 18:56

What is her long term plan here?

Is she just going to keep going to your house every time she needs a poo? Will she never poop in the same building as her boyfriend?

What if they go on holiday together? Move in together? Is she just going to keep knocking on neighbours' doors or nipping to the nearest supermarket? At some point he's surely going to wonder how she's been holding it in for the last year or two.

I'm not sure she's thought this one through...
