Seeking help from PayPlan for debt

user0512 · 21/07/2026 16:16

Hi,

We’re currently looking into seeking help from PayPlan for my partner’s debts.

Not sure what they will offer, debts are probably around £12k. Please can anyone share their experiences of using PayPlan?

TIA

I am in a DMP via PayPlan. It started in May 2023 and will finish next September.

PayPlan were really good in getting it set up. They're not the greatest at communication or responsiveness if you have an issue during the plan itself. There is a lot of info on the money saving expert website debt boards on DMPs.

@Instructions was it a lot of debt or an ‘okay’ amount? Do you pay them one day a month and they pay your creditors?

It was 22k

I pay PayPlan every month and they redistribute among my creditors.

@Instructionsif you don’t mind me asking for it to be ‘worth it’ do you have to make high monthly payments?

@Instructions and was the process of setting up the plan lengthy? It’s been hours and I’m still speaking to them on WhatsApp to give his info

They’ve suggested an IVA, nervous about this
