So I’m 53, been single for years, had a couple of friends with benefits who I see occasionally. Yesterday someone came up on my “people you might know” bit on Facebook, he is someone who has a YouTube channel that I watch, based on an interest of mine.

I sent a friend request, (out of character for me to add someone I don’t know), he replied asking if he knew me? I explained I watch the channel, he added me and we chatted. We’ve arranged a date for this week. Chatted lots last night and clearly both fancy each other.

The issue is he’s 35. He’s not bothered, says we’re both consenting adults, I’m hoping it will be a bit of summer fun and maybe develop into a regular fwb situation (he lives about 5 miles away). Am I being silly or should I just go with it and have some fun?

Be wary if he starts with sob stories or scams, or if he is a catfish who isnt who you think he is; your starstruck and before you know it he needs 110k for his sick mother or his channel...

As people often impersonate others who are on YouTube or socials I would be very wary that it’s even him.
If an age gap is mentioned on here the other way round the man is called a disgusting pervert.
I am not saying you are, but this sounds like using someone for an ego boost.

It can't be the age gap because it's going to be a sex only thing, so why does it matter?

I feel so old when I hear ‘just some fun’ because I’m not that much older than OP and the thought of getting naked with someone the same age as my stepson makes me die inside.
Even with my HRT patch fully loaded….
