No one can tell you that we don't have a big problem OP, but at least in this case the perpetrators actually got decent length sentences, which all too often they don't.

Sadly this sort of thing is happening all too often, and the woman it happened to was incredibly brave to report it, and see it through, as rape trials are notoriously difficult.

KateSixer · 15/07/2026 23:29

Yes but as taxpayers we are paying for their "sentence" when they should not even be here.

I couldn't agree more, but have you written to your MP about it, and asked them what they're going to do?

Men (as a class) are vile.

I did consider posting the photo from this article by itself with no context and asking people to guess why they were on the news, but decided I couldn’t be bothered with the useful idiots who worry about all the poor doctors and pilots mysteriously working in car washes (having abandoned their original wives/kids to whatever fate they themselves allege they were going to suffer).

It seems the UK is run mainly for the benefit of the legal profession.

They seem to be ones benefiting from the chaos.

'Twas ever thus!

Men (as a class) are vile.

Removing race, and just extending the logic of men = problem. If that is the case, the answer would be to do anything to stop pathways that keep increasing the number of younger men in this country, regardless of ethnicity/race.

Men = problem is a powerful argument in favor of tightening asylum/illegal migratory routes - as they are disproportionately used by young men. (75%+ of boat crossings are young men)

We the voters need to be fully informed as to the consequences of the decisions made by our government. I’d like to see published details of all crimes committed by asylum seekers, put into types of crime, number committed by the general public per head of population vs number committed by asylum seekers and then we can fully understand whether we should look to remove ourselves from the ECHR to be able to deport asylum seekers as soon as they arrive as opposed to hear them out.

There seems to be so many seriously violent sex crimes and stabbings committed by asylum seekers. Possibly as they come from places that are more violent or women have fewer rights. We need to be fully informed in order to make informed choices at the ballot box.

Does anyone feel like posting the article for Americans with no subscription please? 😁
