To ask if anyone has used minoxidil for hair loss?

I used to have decent hair - it wasn’t the thickest ever and it didn’t hold a curl, but there was quite a bit of it.

Since my second year at uni (I had a horrifically stressful housemate situation), it has got a lot finer. I then lost a huge amount of weight (medicated) and lost a lot more hair. I have had blood tests for hair loss and everything is fine, no deficiencies, and the shedding has stopped. I’ve got some regrowth, but not an awful lot.

I am considering minoxidil, but I know that that then becomes a lifelong commitment and you can’t have pets etc., because of it.

Has anyone used it? Does it work?

I’ve used topical minoxidil and I have pets, it’s never been a problem. I now take a minoxidil Spironolactone combo in tablet form. Topical didn’t help my hair at all but the tablet has significantly slowed my hair fall and has regrown it around my hairline.
