How hard is it to book insurance when you book the holiday to open a second tab and order the insurance?

Just go to Google and type ‘gofud no insurance’ there are thousands.

I just don’t get it I have stage 4 cancer and I get insured by ‘insure with ‘

If you go back to 2011 you’ll find my threads about giving birth to my son prematurely in the US. It’s a cautionary tale about travelling while pregnant (lots of people do it with no issues - I was unlucky) but what many people don’t realise is the birth and baby’s after-care are generally not covered by insurance. Fortunately for me he was born an American citizen and qualified for Medicare. My insurance company and the hospital covered the rest of the bill which amounted to £250000 (I was there for 7 weeks).

So I always, always advise pregnant women to take out insurance, get a covering letter from your GP, and check exactly what is covered.

I have numerous health conditions. Travel insurance for me alone is almost £1k. So you know what, we don't go abroad. It's as simple as that. I'm not taking the risk.

There will always be outlying cases but it won't be the majority. If you go away you should prove insurance, same as buying a car.

I'm with OP, stage four cancer and still able to get fully comp insurance for me and whole family for under £200. (Insurance with), it's more about taking responsibility for your own actions, and recognise that nanny isn't going to scrape your ass off the floor like the NHS do in the UK.
