The Great Shaking

I am new here in regard to posting but have been reading for years.

This is an odd one. I am very scientific and non woo woo.
But for many years I have experienced something very strange.
Initially it started with me laying in bed and being woken with the feeling that I am being shaken (not by a hand but the whole bed shaking and moving) or that the person next to me is having some sort of seizure and thus shaking me awake. I would end up waking them up and asking them to stop shaking or moving, which they denied doing. It would be incredibly violent and wake me from a deep sleep. I honestly thought it was the person I was sleeping with. Like their whole body shaking.
But then it developed to happening when I was awake in bed. So I am alone and all of a sudden the whole bed moves. I can see the blankets moving and vibrating and I am beingt physically moved. I am fully sat up in bed and conscious. This has happened since I was around 10 years old. I am now in my 40s! Has anyone else ever had anything like this?
I now just expect it and it doesn't scare me anymore

It sounds like you're having hypnic jerks - sudden, whole-body jerks or shakes as you're drifting off to sleep or dreaming. It's perfectly normal and harmless. In you're case, you've had so many that you're expecting them, and so dreaming that you're awake watching them!

I can see the whole bed physically moving along with the blankets as I am sat uo and alert. Or I will wake with the bed shaking. It doesn't feel or seem like my body is moving at all
