AIBU to tell you that I’ve known many people who gone onto to become famous (lighthearted)?

Just musing about the number of people Ive known that have gone on to become famous and wondered if others have experienced this?

I was very friendly with a girl that became a very well known page 3 girl.

I had a retail Saturday job when I was at school and the owners son (who I flirted with) has become a household name actor.

A manager I had in one of my first jobs became a successful sit com writer

I have a distant cousin who has written a lot of celebrity biographies.

One of my children’s friends is now a well known footballer

Someone in the village where I live is now on the telly giving lifestyle advice

Obviously their fame is nothing to do with knowing me 😆 but I’m not sure if it’s common to know so many random famous people without being in the same industry/circles as them ?

I will add that most of these I’ve lost touch with over the years.

What, do you mean influencers? I watched Celebrity Traitors and don't know a handful of them.

My mum interviewed Dave Allen (and hired him) for voice over adverts when she worked in advertising and before he was famous. She knew David Puttnam before he was famous too.

My auntie (can prove with a photo) was best friends with Robert Palmer (could’ve been more but she was dating her soon to be husband) as she modelled successfully at 14, met Robert at that age and he took her under his wing as a friend. He looked out for her.

My Mum was fairly famous in the eighties and dh is a local hero because he helped with a rescue at sea.

If that was at the Olympics,you may well live near me. 😊
