Does anybody else dislike Pride?

We have one in our town for the second year running, and it's just really off.

Now before I get the "don't be homophobic comments" I am very much live and let live.

It's just that it can be very adult in the middle of the day.

It’s outdated. Can’t imagine why, in 2026, it’s even a thing.

Can we add Australia and New Zealand to that list.

Thanks to the same gender ideology promoted by Pride in the UK, lesbians wishing to gave a lesbian only gathering in these countries are committing a criminal act if they exclude men who wish they were lesbians.

Several Pride marches in the UK have banned lesbian groups and some gay men because they are exclusively same sex attracted and none of the rest have condemned that homophobia.

Who this ‘solidarity’ of Pride with again? What has ‘Pride’ done to combat homophobia across the world? If they have done anything it seems a bit hypocritical.

The point I was making was to a poster who seemed to think that speaking out in solidarity with gay people around the world who cannot be themselves for fear of landing in jail or being executed.

Do I think Pride is perfect in the UK? No. Do I recognise the fetish focused picture of Pride presented on this thread? No, not round my neck of the woods. There is as always a huge amount of black and white thinking going on.

Or to look at it another way: yes, in various necks of various woods.

I am in London. I have been to Pride so many times. I do not recognise it now.

There is a huge amount of Fetish at London Pride and numbers wise that makes it a majority. 1.5 million.

You're saying that all 1.5 million people at London Pride are in full fetish rig?

But if UK Pride refuses to express solidarity or even support for exclusively same sex attracted people, what even is it? It’s not for LGB. I would bet money that you wouldn’t find a Pride march out if the 270 matches in the UK that publicly supports actual homosexuality. I do hope I’m wrong .

It would then be utterly hypocritical for them to express solidarity for exclusively same sex attracted people overseas.

I think many people in the UK are now aware of the issues homosexuals face overseas and are happy to speak out. I have raised it on a number of occasions as some of the people who believe homosexuality should be illegal are also immigrating to this country and they want to influence children’s education on this topic.

Doesn’t it bother you that you have to create straw men to defend fetishists parading their lecherousness in front of children?

I've been to a lot of Prides over the past 8 years and I have never seen any fetish content, so perhaps I am just a teeny bit sceptical of the people saying it's everyone, everywhere, all the time. That's not creating a straw man, that's not indulging in black and white thinking. Where I am, the adult content is in the evening and is explicitly labelled as such. It's very very clear what it's going to look like. So people can just not go.

Where did I say that.

I said London represents a large proportion of all Pride marches and fetish gear is very visible.
it had changed

And yet there are links and pictures shown on this thread of fetish gear in daytime with children visible.

perhaps you should read the thread

Nobody said that though. That's your straw man right there.

Oh come on. The whole tenet of this thread is that Pride has changed and it's now all about men in fetish gear. If you start with a premise completely lacking in nuance, this is what you're going to get. As I said waaaay back on this thread, be very careful what you wish for. The people who want all kinds of non straight etc. folk to disappear are in the ascendant and some are playing right into their hands.

Can you define non straight etc. folk and explain what cause(s) they have in common, please?

There was plenty of it in 2025, and I only saw people passing back through Victoria.

Exactly- personally I think people being gay or straight is about as important as to whether someone prefers tea or coffee.

Unfortunately there are those in the LGBTQ community who wish to define themselves based purely on their sexual preferences and those in the straight community who wish to participate in Pride events just to virtue signal as publicly and loudly as possible - "hey look at me everybody I'm so accepting of gay and lesbians" - whereas the rest of us are like "it's really no big deal ".

This is such bullshit it’s hard to know where to start really.
You genuinely think that there is no homophobia in society and that people see sexuality as like a preference for coffee or tea? You are speaking from a very privileged/ oblivious position indeed.

It’s quite fun seeing you on thread after thread wanging on about Muslims and immigration. It seems there are no subjects that you can’t manage to turn your anti Muslim comments on to.

Why is that ‘fun’?

I thought you supported LGB people. I must have been mistaken. Just don’t keep moaning on about homophobia in society if you support organisations with homophobic elements like Pride and wish to ignore a growing movement that would like to see homosexuality outlawed.

If you think that’s ok that is obviously your prerogative- i think you’ve made a weird choice.

I think it looks liberating. It is a bit shocking sometimes but also brilliant.

By “some”, you are referring of course to the idiots on the Left who have handed the Far Right a gift-wrapped wedge issue by insisting that trans women are women?

I think we have a different perspective on what is liberating.

Personally I would find being mortgage free, with a passive income of £100k pa and my children all set up with secure jobs, homes and relationships would make me feel a lot more liberated rather than a gimp mask, ball gag and a leather thong.

But hey everyone has a different view on "liberation".

So, it's just an issue in some specific Pride events. I mean there are plenty of photos of fetish costumes in front of children, so we know it happens at some events. People are saying that that's not okay, don't you agree?

The other issues are also that some LGB people have been excluded and even physically attacked because they don't subscribe to 'gender' theory. I think Pride should be inclusive of LGB people on the basis of their being same-sex attracted.
