To pay for this rather than do it myself?

Is it a waste of money to spend £25 to get my car cleaned inside/out as opposed to doing it myself? A debate I had earlier with a colleague, I like that it’s hassle free and seems a faff to buy everything needed to do it on my own.

Once a year work invites a car-valeting business to set up onsite for one day. They are fully booked within an hour of the email going out. You bet I book it! Before I worked here I used to pay my dc to do it. £10 for the outside, £10 for the inside (which I think is the worse job, but one dc preferred doing the outside and the other the inside).

It costs me £35 and I’m going to the car valet tomorrow.
