Really? She lived with this guy and didn't know? She had a camper van parked on the drive and didn't know he stole the money to buy it?

I don't buy it.

Injunctions, super injunctions perhaps...

There was also an odd story about her chucking an iron out through a window at some hotel while having a barney with someone, possibly another close female friend.

I look forward to the mini-series telling her whole sorry tale when it is inevitably made at some point in the future.

To be fair, I would be inclined to throw an iron out of the nearest window. I have not done ironing for about a decade. As if NS does her own ironing. I would be disappointed to read that she does. And I’m no fan.

There's none so blind as those who will not see.

Quite.
Unfortunately there are quite a few of them about, judging by the number of voters who still think the SNP is doing a decent job.

It"s not exactly Goodfellas is it? 400k nicked over 12 or so years isn"t that much money either, what was the point, their combined income would have been about 350 - 400k a year with probably a lot of food, travel and accommodation picked up by the party or the tax-payer, that is a nice little cash cushion, so WTF was the point of a top end camper van suitable for driving across Australia parked up on a drive in Dunfermline bought with nicked money? And as I said earlier people on 400k household income don"t live on a new-build estate on the outskirts of Glasgow, that so obvious sham makes me more angry than the stolen money (which I don"t really care much about, much larger sums have been pilfered by people in positions of trust at pension funds, corporates etc.)

Where do you think they really lived if you think the Uddingston house is a sham?

The bit I found weird about that house was the lack of security.
I don't know where I thought she lived but I'd have expected a house with electric gates, a victorian detached villa or something, not a house in the middle of a street that kids could play chappy at.

Yes, I absolutely know this. But why are people being so obtuse here? Is it true that she is in a relationship with one of Scotland’s greatest living crime fiction novelists? Why is there such a great level of protectionism, even now that she has been exposed for what she is?

WHAT???? NS and JK Rowling???

They are such shits, the SNP, all of them. Each year I visit my relatives in Darnley, and my heart is broken, for what these SNP shits are doing to Scotland.

Yet we (not me but my fellow country folk) vote them in time and time again. I despair.

Yes, I think a lot of SNP supporters will simply let this wash over them. I've heard some of them say: so what if Peter Murrell stole £400K, it's small beer and all worth it for Indy.

The garden looks about 4x5 metres but needed a £3000 mower? Wtf.

I honestly don't know why. So sad. I used to be really angry, now I am just sad. They failed everyone, the young, the old, everyone. Disgusting self-serving snakes, wanting to break up the most successful Union history has ever witnessed - their own Scot-sit aka personal little Brexit so the wee Crankie can become El Presidente. And the lavender marriage, do they think we are totally stupid?

What?? Are people hypnotised by them, or something?

I think it’s the old principle of it may be fraud, but at least it’s our frauds and not Westminster. It may be better to be ripped off by your own if you are a Scottish Nationalist

WearyAuldWumman · Yesterday 23:27

FWIW, I'm pro-Indy and I'm sick of the SNP. I was a member and I left. I'm disgusted at the whole debacle. I haven't voted for them for the past two elections.

AT LEAST SOME WIMMAN ARE STICKIN UP FUR ME

This is beyond parody. Utter clowns.

OneTealShaker · Today 00:07

Apparently Murrell was nicking Alex Salmond’s mum’s antique furniture at one point and Salmond covered it up.

Covered up the thieving I mean, not the furniture.

Honestly you could not make this shit up.

And these people are/were running Scotland. Good luck Scotland. You’re gunnae need it.

I've just found the Record article about it. His MIL's furniture, seemingly. Crumbs.

Peter Murrell 'stole money' from Alex Salmond over thirty years ago

EXCLUSIVE: Sources close to the late First Minister said Salmond was adamant Murrell was a thief who had taken money from his office.

They all knew what he was doing and Nicola Sturgeon is an absolute disgrace.

As PP pointed out, she said no comment throughout her police interview and on the same day was telling the press she was co operating fully with the police. She was obstructing the police and lying to public about being co operative.

I think so. To me, those who want independence have the same mentality as those who wanted Brexit. The only difference is one blames Westminster and the other blamed Europe. They have no clue about how Scotland will function after Indy other than the EU will be thrilled to have us.🙄

Individuals from all political parties have been convicted of all types of crimes. Some far worse than embezzlement. Should people never vote for a political party again because one or two individuals broke the law?

I agree - think the strange part is to say, we don't want any control from Westminster, we want to go it alone, but we now also want to submit to the rules and regulations of the EU?

There is a very important difference. A country can choose to leave the EU if it wants to do so.

JSMill · Today 08:56

@RanyaJerodungthat’s what baffles me. They don’t want to be subservient to Westminster but are happy to be subservient to Brussels. I believe most nationalists just hate the English. (I am Scottish.)

I suspect so. I think Devolution was a good idea, more power in the hands of the people, but that they want to submit to supranational controls from Brussels isn't logical, but as you say, could be for other reasons.
I hope that the Scots are served better than they have been by this current SNP.

They could have chosen to leave the UK at their last referendum. They chose not to.
