Family friendly or the set of Love Island?

Is anyone else a member of a David Lloyd or similar which needs to make its mind up on what it wants to be?

We have had a family membership for years and always enjoyed using the outdoor pool in the summer.

Today, it was like the set of Love Island. Members wearing thong swimsuits, excessive drinking and groups using it as if it was a pool party. We left very soon after arriving l, I didn’t want my DC to see that.

Surely there’s a line which shouldn’t be crossed at a family friendly venue?

You should bring this up with the management of the club OP.
If you have a family membership then you are entitled to expect the club to be family friendly.
I doubt whether you are the only ones to feel uncomfortable.

I won’t be renewing our membership as ours has been taken over by dickhead influencers. Am sick of having my privacy invaded by these cretins filming “Cons with me to David Lloyd” videos.

I know a couple of others were unimpressed - they often ask for feedback so I’ll be sure to bring this up.

Gosh @Doseofreality that is total nonsense. What on earth do the management think they are playing at allowing that to go on in the Club. They are going end up with a dreadful reputation and a falling membership

I'm glad OP you are going to bring up your poor experience with the Club.

Was this David Lloyd Trafford by any chance?

David Lloyd, especially those with outdoor pools, are getting less family friendly as I think they realise they get more money (classes, fancy kit, competitions, socials, drinks in the bar, meals) from the young pre family audiences. I think they want to go Love Island. The pool at our local one looks lovely and is never full - but children are only allowed in it in summer, on specific days, after school hours, then weekends only 10-4. It was really scummy behaviour and just plausibly deniable enough that they were just trying to keep out families. The kids had paid their membership too and were entitled to enjoy the pool. At 4pm on the weekends they turn up the music and all the fit young things start hanging out there, the children cramp their style.

Ours is Love Island vibes.

They're not really that bad tho the thong swimsuits. It's the norm. I mean I wouldn't wear one but I don't have the body for it.
