So many negative COL posts, but AIBU to think one positive is that the COL has made people more entrepreneurial?

Hmm, I kind of agree with you. I agree that the COL has made enterpreneurship a more attractive option than it used to be HOWEVER I don't see much example of people actually doing this.

We are in property, and see this quite a lot.

I will give one example.

We use a fireman for gardening jobs, and as a fireman he works four on four off.

He told us before Christmas he is now making more from the gardening than he is from being a fireman.

Wow.

I don't think the cost of living caused that. Fire fighters have had second jobs since forever due to their shift patterns.
