I bought a bag on Vinted and it stinks of cigarette smoke

It’s vile. It stinks of cigarettes and what can only be described as shit. It’s given me a headache and makes me
gag. It was bad enough to smell through the packaging.

I’ve raised an issue but how do I submit picture evidence of it smelling?! The seller has refused to take a return and says it must be because of the courier.

I now understand why a £175 bag was “brand new without tags” for less than £20 😩

Not sure, is there any other evidence of it not being brand new? Tiny marks for example. Good luck with this but vinted and the whole buyer's guarantee fee thing isnt the most useful! Perhaps some mumsnetters have a fix for removing awful smells out of varoius things?

I’ve just had a really good look and there is a stain inside! Thank god. It’s absolutely stinking. The only hope I have is it if I put it outside all weekend to air out. It smells vile.

If that doesn't work, & you want to give it one more go, Google how to remove smells from a leather bag & it will give you details of the baking soda method. Another one I've used before with leather trainers is cat litter!
