Quite often people come on here and ask for advice re finances, they state what they are left with and the the response is "oh that is loads."

Quite often it isn't loads.

Now I understand "loads" means different things to different people, but it's almost as if you are doing better than making a MN chicken last a week then you have loads.

AIBU?

We earn loads. Problem is loads goes in and loads goes out!

There was a young woman today who said she had £350 per month after bills, rent etc, and people said "it's loads" and she should be saving most of it.

We account for every penny. We do actually have loads but we know it needs to last.

Accounting is fine, actually sensible.
