MN should be for all

I think the great thing about MN is that it's for all.

You can start a thread if you are financially struggling and need help getting the food bill down and you can start a thread asking for advice on the best 5 star hotel in The Maldives.

Now of course people should be sensitive, and not post about luxury items on a COL thread.

But if a thread is specifically about The Maldives, or designer bags etc etc - it's painfully obvious what the thread is about.

I have seen posters (including) myself jumped upon of late for being insensitive on a thread that is very clear on the subject matter.

Surely MN should be for all those struggling, those doing well, and everybody in between?

The world is full of self-righteous divots who will find reasons to criticise or take offence anywhere.

Even on MN.

What would be better would be people actually using the sub sections/topics for what they are meant for. When did AIBU turn into a holiday advice topic

Yes people often post on Aibu for traffic rather than using the specific topic for their need.

That's probably true, but I still think people are incredibly rude.
