Tradie won't quote again will he?

I got a tradie come for a quote and it wasn't something I want to do - New ceiling basically.

I said I would let him know.

I have a smaller job - would he turn it down and not quote? Or be ok to quote?

I doubt it, he would probably think you are a time waster.

Depends How desperate he is for work (probably not very, seems to be a shortage of trades everywhere), and how convenient it is to pop into you. You can ask - but at the same time you should apologise for not getting back to him re the other job

I did get back to him

I mean, you can try, but you might be in his book as a time waster. In the end it will depend on whether or not he needs the work.

Benny the plasterer quoted me for re-boarding and skimming the ceiling.

I asked him, "How much just to fix the patch?"

He told me.

He fixed the patch and I paid him.
