Could the UK do more to stop this?

BBC investigation shows ways in which migrants pay to enter the UK. I think more should be done to shut down UK companies that are shown to be involved in this. There's a huge million pound industry in getting illegal immigrants here.

The ones who are laundering are shifting a lot of money through the tax system. I think it's unlikely the powers that be want to stop that...🤔

Its dirty money, why wouldn't they want to stop that? Who in particular are you referring to 'the powers that be', who do you mean by that?

A better question might have been should vape shops, barbers and pther places that move illegal money be investigated for people moving too?

The guy at the vape shop was also happy to take money for people crossing the channel! Criminals appear to do what they want!

Shouldn't the countries where they are trafficked from do something why is it always the UKs fault

We have to deal with them once they are here. So prevent illegal migration coming in the first place

Completely agree. My first thought on reading the BBC article is why is it taking journalists to discover this and get names/bank accounts/locations, what is the uk government actually doing?

I get they’ve only been in power a relatively short time but if the government want to avoid swathes of voters voting for Reform, they really need to be ramping up their efforts up to break these gangs and be very vocal about it.

It’s disgusting how there are so many people out there making money gambling with desperate people’s lives and that they’re so brazen about it
