Ingesting cleaning product!

I qas in the loo and my dd was crawling around. There was a cloth on the side with cleaning product that I had used last week. She pulled herself up and next thing had some of the cloth in her mouth. I panicked and jumped up, grabbed the cloth and took her out. However, I then got the cloth and smelled it to check if any product still on it. I couldn't smell anything. So perhaps it was gone after last week. Then, this is the nutty part,. I then sucked the cloth to check what my dd would have tasted. I could taste soap / cleaning product. Since then I have felt a bit sleepy and mouth irritation. Dd sleems absolutely fine. This was 8.5 hrs ago.

What would you do?

It was Tesco Antibacterial Multi Purpose Cleanser

Thank you

If your daughter seems fine and it was over 8 hours ago I think you’re ok. Maybe you’re imagining feeling sleepy and mouth irritation because you’re anxious about it.
if you’re really worried though maybe call 111

She has drank lots of water since then. I sucked quite of the cloth to see exactly what she coild have tasted, if anything. I dont think she would have had as much as me.

Are you the same mum who let their daughter such the kid of a cleaning product earlier in the week?

It was hours ago so it sounds fine. Cleaning products need to be kept locked away now though OP, kids get everywhere

8.5 hours ago? It really doesn’t matter now. Any effects would have been obvious before now.

What the fuck? You sucked the cloth? Weird. But I’m sure you’ll both survive.
