Just that really. Fuck off with your patronising nonsense Helga* I don't need you chipping in with your helpful suggestions. Come and share your cunty colleague stories to make me feel less alone. *Name changed to avoid P45.

No not in the slightest. 4 years working together and I really like and also respect professionally. No drama

SoScarletItWas · 15/05/2026 19:18

Nope, none of them. Some are occasionally a bit irritating but none are that bad.

Oh bugger. I might be the Helga here.

didntlikeanyofthesuggestions · 15/05/2026 19:19

Chill out mate.

thistimelastweek · 15/05/2026 19:19

Cunt is a strong word.
I've had colleagues who irritated me but I'm not sure any would have qualified for cunthood.

Whataflippincircus · 15/05/2026 19:20

I used to work with someone I couldn’t stand. We were equal colleagues but she tried to tell me what to do. She was rude and treated the support staff like dirt. I left in the end.

PinkPonyAnonymous · 15/05/2026 19:21

I have one! Most junior member of staff, underqualified for any promotion but thinks we are all doing our jobs wrong all the time. She will literally invent procedures and speak as if it has always been done, but actually she just got bored one Friday afternoon and decided to change things without consulting anyone or even having the authority for some of it!

WhiteWriting · 15/05/2026 19:22

Helga told me to 'run everything past me' today. Helga is not my boss.

Everyone thinks I am a soft touch because I am kind and helpful at work but god help the person who decides I can be bullied.
Someone tried it once and I wiped the floor with her. She has avoided me ever since.
I think they call it the iron fist in the velvet glove.

dadtoateen · 15/05/2026 19:47

Jesus, someone needs a cuddle!!

change jobs for everyone’s sake..

sounds like you have a problem with someone asking a reasonable request.

Not c-nts. Cnts are life giving. I HAVE worked with a few d-cks though.

1st Ms Ambitious but mediocre. Smoozing management, trying to big herself up by putting others down.

2nd Mr Sleeze. Chatting up the older female (senior) staff, in the hopes that his good looks would A Get him a promotion. B Allow him extra time off. C Get them to turn a blind eye to his laziness.

3rd Ms Boss Bitch. Moaning to the rest of the department about me, turning about 1/2 of them against me (not all of 'em listened to her bile).

4th Mr Arrogant and Superior. Boss who thought he knew it all. Put me down. Refused my pay rise and then tried to reel me back in when another member of staff went off sick.

There are a lot more. But that's a snippet for now!

UnhappyHobbit · 15/05/2026 20:18

It seems your thread has attracted people like your colleague!

Anyway I will share mine. I have to work with someone who is perpetual ass licker. She’s totally incompetent and makes “up” for it by offering to do outlandish above and beyond things for clients or colleagues. She once facilitated an appointment on a Sunday. We don’t work Sundays but it’s all performative to hide the fact she can’t actually do the job she’s paid to do!! Arghhh!

Femalemachinest · 15/05/2026 20:23

Yes! Watches my every move. Makes comments to other people about me all the time. When I was learning a new skill kept saying things to the person training me like "bet you'd be finished now if it wasn't for her" "you enjoying yourself working with her" etc. Never done out wrong to the guy, dont even really speak to him. All I've done is worked less time at the company, be good at my job and progress when he hasnt.... jealousy is an awful trait to have 😂

nam3c4ang3 · 15/05/2026 20:25

One tried to cast a spell on me - does that count 🤣

Dinkiedoo · 15/05/2026 20:27

Oh yes worked with a woman like that.
Always "noticing" things while making mistakes herself.
Always off sick
Always brown nosing.
Always bigging herself up.
She got hers tho. Sacked for gross incompetence.

Those who laugh last

WiddlinDiddlin · 15/05/2026 20:30

Sorry, my colleagues are all an absolute treat at any hour of the day or in fact night (we work shifts, some of us work nights some are based in other countries so our night is their day).

They will step in to cover me if i have some sort of health issue, they will step in when i FORGET IM MEANT TO BE WORKING (we all WFH), they will on occasion refuse to invoice for the hour they've done for me (and of course, I do same in return!)...

They are truly lovely.

Now.. some of the 'service users'... they can be cunty at times, but for the most part they are people who want help and advice and are pleased to recieve it.

Gonna need more details here.....

HomericEpithet · 15/05/2026 21:04

I'm happy to say my most recent awful colleagues either failed their probation or quit shortly before they had their final probation meeting because they --knew they were going to fail had found other companies to sabotage.

Helga told me to 'run everything past me' today. Helga is not my boss.

Maybe your boss delegated this to Helga

SparklyBrickViper · 16/05/2026 13:59

🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Yes! My “Helga” has managed to engineer the removal of her counterpart so that she’s now in their role.

I only have another ten days and I am moving to a new post. Can’t wait to leave a toxic environment.
